The number of residents (about 30) means there's a feeling of familiness. Carers know the residents individually and Vica Versa.

Staff were able to assess my mother's needs and establish a plan of care that met her needs, which I was allowed to review as well when she moved into Acacia Lodge. When her needs changed this was updated and I was fully informed at all times. I liked that I was able to continue to participate in her care and also bring her home cooked food as well.
It was a difficult decision moving her into residential care, but the care and attention given by all the staff helped immensely as the staff are approachable and friendly and have a good understanding of the special needs of the residents. The staff also cared for my mother until her death and I cannot fault the effort staff made to ensure that her care needs were met with regards to working with district nursing services and the GP, and also how they delivered the palliative and then end of life care with dignity and compassion and for that I cannot thank them enough.

Dad is well looked after, always clean and always treated with dignity. Carers are always around to help and one carer also speaks his language which helps him a lot and he is happier being around them.
I would like to take him out one afternoon for lunch or a church service which would also make Mum happy.
He has been here for about a year now, he is very settled and happy.
He is happy to stay and feels this is now his home.

Carers are always polite and do their best to look after the residents. They are very patient and understanding of each person's needs, especially how to interact with certain individuals who may need a little extra time/care.
